Former Swiss fire service truck Complete restoration documentation

This Land Rover was delivered to the Berne fire service in Switzerland in 1965. Used as a fire service vehicle, it has covered very little distance, showing 14, 864 kilometres on the odometer. In 2015, a Berlin enthusiast acquired it and, although in perfect working order and well preserved (with the exception of the engine), completely stripped it down and rebuilt it. Complete documentation of the work is available. Keen not to disturb the original engine, which had such low mileage, excellent compression and good oil pressure, he reinstalled it as it was. Only the Solex carburettor was replaced with a Weger carburettor, and a contactless ignition system was fitted. The original Solex carburettor is still available and could be restored. The seats, galvanised bodywork elements and hood were also reused.
