1960 Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider

A rare find, this Alfa Romeo Touring Spider embodies the essence of "La Dolce Vita," evoking images of the Riviera and refined style. Launched in 1958, it was a luxury car handcrafted by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan, which also designed the vehicle. It was a premium model, costing 50% more than a Mercedes 220 SE and six times the price of a VW Type I.

Produced as a two-seater until 1961, it was later available as a 2+2. The engine was an evolution of the famous 1900 engine with dual overhead camshafts, later known as the "Nord" engine. Equipped with twin carburetors and a higher compression ratio, it produced 113 CV. Paired with a smooth-shifting five-speed transmission, it combined advanced technology with captivating design for its era.
