1959 MG MGA

The 1959 MG MGA 1500 Cabriolet is a British icon of the 1950s, renowned for its clean, minimalist design.

Our pretty roadster was bought by its owner in 2008 from a professional who shipped it from ENGLAND; it had come from the United States.

It is in generally good condition, in its original patina, with patinated paint; the owner no longer uses it for health reasons, and a service and replacement of all fluids will be necessary.

Maintenance:

In 2021: Dismantling, refitting and overhaul of the gearbox. SU carburettor seals replaced.

In 2022: Replacement of involved rear axle bearings seals, and rear brake linings (seals and shoes), bleeding of the braking system, replacement of the left rear bearing seal,

cleaning of the rear light/ indicator control relay, replacement of the camshaft cover gasket seal,

replacement of the timing cover felt.

Crankcase breather sealing.

On 15/ 05/ 2022: Replaced carpets.

In 2023: Fitting of the front disc brake kit, removal and refitting of the brake master cylinder and bleeding of the clutch and brakes.

Exhaust: Replacement of the silencer.

MOT is not mandatory as it was built before 1960 and it has a collectors’ registration.
