GOLDEN HERITAGE. UNFILTERED EMOTION.

This 1968 Ford Mustang GT Convertible was originally delivered in Sunlit Gold with Nugget Gold Luxury Interior.

According to its Deluxe Marti Report, it was one of only 82 cars produced with these original paint and trim codes.

Today, the Mustang is presented in white with a contrasting red interior. Its original factory specification remains fully documented.

GOLDEN BY BIRTH.

Not every white Mustang was born white.

This car left Ford’s Metuchen plant on 10 April 1968 finished in Sunlit Gold with Nugget Gold Luxury Bucket Seats.

Its Deluxe Marti Report confirms that it was one of only 82 cars produced with these original paint and trim codes.

The car has since been repainted and retrimmed. Its current white and red colour scheme therefore differs from the original factory specification, which is transparently documented in the vehicle’s history.

RAW EMOTION – THE S

The key to this Mustang is already written into its chassis number.

The letter “S” identifies Ford’s 390-cubic-inch 4V FE V8 – the big-block engine that transformed the 1968 Mustang from an elegant pony car into a genuine muscle car.

According to the Marti Report, this was one of only 585 convertibles produced with this engine and transmission combination.

FACTORY GT

This Mustang was equipped from new with the GT Equipment Group.

Its factory specification also included:

• C6 Select-Shift automatic transmission

• 3. 25 limited-slip rear axle

• Extra Cooling Package

• Power-assisted disc brakes

• Power steering

• Visibility Group

• Centre console

• AM radio

• Interior Decor Group

390 CUBIC INCHES OF UNFILTERED EMOTION.

While many Mustang convertibles were configured primarily for relaxed cruising, this car combines the freedom of open-air motoring with the effortless performance of Ford’s 390-cubic-inch big-block.

The C6 automatic transmission suits its character perfectly: powerful, relaxed and full of presence.

REBORN IN WHITE

Today, the car is finished in white with a white power-operated soft top and contrasting red interior.

Chrome details, period-style wheels and the clean lines of the 1968 model year give it a timeless and unmistakably American appearance.

SWISS VETERAN STATUS

The Mustang is registered in Switzerland as a veteran vehicle.

It is being technically inspected, documented and prepared for sale by R-Classics. Viewings are available by appointment at our House of Legacy in St. Margrethen, Switzerland.
