The Laycock overdrive on 3rd & 4th transforms the vehicle drive providing roughly 25mph per 1, 000 rpm in overdrive top, reducing noise and fuel consumption. Yet it still has enough torque at even the lowest revs to provide enough drive.

The Grinter Engineering Rear Suspension is well document with hundreds sold worldwide. I have the adjustable shock absorbers set at about 50% giving no more axle bounce on the rebound rubbers when going over motorway bumps at speed.

These two enhancements alone makes the car ideal for continental driving. When you also have the reclining seats as well the passenger can relax too and breaks are refreshing.

Regularly driven except on severe weather days in Nov, Dec January having done 2, 692 miles this year. I have a Jaguar XK8 for other such occasions.
