1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 OTS

Vintage Bonnet, specialist in sports and collectible vehicles in Lyon, is pleased to offer for sale a 1968 Jaguar Type E Series 1. 5:

We are delighted to present this stunning 1968 Jaguar Type E 1. 5 Cabriolet, fitted with the 4. 2-litre engine. A true icon, the 1. 5 is the transitional model between Series 1 and Series 2, and was only produced for a single year.

This example was delivered new in the United States in 1968 and imported into France in 1993. The last owner purchased it in 1999 and carried out a full restoration of the bodywork, upholstery and mechanical components between 2010 and 2014.

Finished in an elegant Opalescent Silver Grey, paired with a Bordeaux leather interior, the colour combination is superb. Its 4, 235cc straight-six produces 265 bhp, fed by three horizontal SU carburettors and mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.

We have a complete file of invoices and restoration photos.
