Beschrijving

The Jaguar E-Type, introduced in 1961, is a car that can still evoke an emotional response today simply through its profile—and not only among automotive enthusiasts. When Enzo Ferrari called it “the most beautiful car ever made,” it was certainly not an empty compliment. Its lightweight design combined elegant curves with technical innovations—independent suspension on all four wheels and disc brakes at all four corners were exceptional features at the time, even in much more expensive cars. The E-Type was born as the spiritual successor to the racing D-Type and offered not only striking looks but also performance: even the basic six-cylinder version could exceed 240 km/ h. The specific 1968 car, which underwent a complete restoration approximately ten years ago, is now a highly interesting collector’s example. Under the bonnet is an inline six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 4, 235 cm³, meaning an engine from the so-called Series 1. 5 or Series 2—the exact classification depends on the production date, as the transition between these series was taking place around 1968. Since its restoration, the car has remained in the care of a single owner, ensuring consistent maintenance and a clear history. In convertible form, the lines of the long bonnet and low profile stand out even more, making the E-Type an icon of open-top sports cars from the 1960s. Given its excellent condition and preservation of authenticity, this example is not only a pleasure to look at but also a sound investment. Veteráni na Truc: a group of ordinary people who love cars.
