General condition:

I’m offering for sale my 1963 Rover P5 3. 0 Litre with manual gearbox and overdrive, in very good condition both in terms of presentation and running. This car combines timeless elegance with comfortable, refined driving—ideal for fans of British classics.

Key highlights:

Sound bodywork and underpinnings, with excellent paint and a lovely shine (small imperfection on the engine bonnet, but no dents, scratches or rust elsewhere).

Well-kept interior: chrome, trim and woodwork in excellent condition.

Comfort and quiet running: power steering, smooth controls, a silent engine and great to drive.

MOT valid until May 2027.

Recent routine maintenance after a major re-works/ refresh:

General overhaul (brakes, ignition, carburation, fluids) done 6 years ago.

Braking system fully reworked: calipers, seals, front discs, rear brake shoes/ linings and the handbrake mechanism.

Carburation: clean-up plus a complete Burlen service/ revision kit.

Ignition: loom, coil, rotor and distributor cap, condenser.

Impeccable starting: the car fires up on the quarter turn, settles into a gentle purr and takes revs normally.

Additional equipment:

Original electronic distributor (brand new, never fitted) included with the car.

Items to be finalised (full transparency):

Clutch: replaced but mechanism not adjusted → vibration in 1st gear and reverse. A new original equipment clutch mechanism + clutch plate will be supplied with the car. You can test-drive the car, but it’s not recommended to do long trips without adjustment. Delivery possible within a 100 km radius around Brive and Limoges (I’m used to driving with this issue).

Speedometer: temperamental needle (sometimes it bounces, sometimes it’s fine).

Windscreen: chip in the lower corner (no impact on visibility). A spare windscreen is included.

Left-front window winder handle: spins freely. A spare mechanism is included (replacement planned shortly).

Minor finishing items: engine temperature not displayed, etc. (nothing that prevents driving; the car doesn’t overheat).
