Its history tells us that it was delivered new from the factory to the famous Porsche Brumos dealership in Jacksonville, Florida, an institution of Porsche motorsport, frequented by wealthy American clientele and personalities.

Before arriving in Italy in the late 1980s, it travelled the roads of Florida and California, perhaps driven by a famous racing driver or a film star? Impossible to say. The rest is a unique and incredible story.

The 356 Roadster is considered the evolution of the Speedster.

It retains the original characteristics introduced in October 1954: a sportier and lighter body, a lowered windscreen, a specific dashboard, a simple bonnet and the absence of soundproofing. However, compared to the Speedster, it offers superior driving comfort thanks to its padded seats and panoramic windows.

Produced in 2, 180 examples compared to 4, 144 for the Speedster between late 1959 and early 1961 by coachbuilder Drauz on a Model B body, continuing the Convertible D version (on a Model A body), the Roadster is among the most sought-after 356s, little known even amongst Porsche enthusiasts, an extraordinary collector's piece.
