The Capri 2.8 Injection was the first offering of the new Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) operation that had recently been set up in Dunton, Essex

SVE added a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, an oil/water heat exchanger, viscous coupled fan and an improved radiator giving 158bhp, a 130mph top speed and a 0-60mph time of 7.9 seconds

This particular car, finished in Ford Diamond White (Code B3), is one of the last ever examples to be registered in the UK, on a rare E-prefix

Just a handful of Ford-enthusiast keepers from new, hugely original and much ‘as it was from the factory’ to enjoy

The supplying Ford Main Dealer, Maidenhead Autos, registered the car on 1st August 1987 and supplied it to first owner, J & A Electrics of Uxbridge, who kept the car for an incredible 18 years

The few owners since have all been members of the Capri Owners Club, or similar, and have clearly cherished the car, including one who embarked on a 3,000-mile tour of Italy on which he reported the car performed perfectly

The accompanying history file contains a vast number of receipts/invoices from specialist suppliers, including The Capri Club, along with almost every MOT dating back to the very first in 1990 plus the original Ford handbooks/guides, all helping to corroborate the indicated 60,869 miles
