1986 Ford Capri Laser 2.0

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

The Capri Laser was introduced in late 1984 as one of the final special editions. It features a six-gauge instrument cluster, tinted glass, a tailgate spoiler, body-colored grille and door mirrors, RS alloy wheels, distinctive Laser graphics, and Truro cloth upholstery.

Powered by Ford's 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing approximately 100bhp, it is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. This example is finished in Paris Blue with the correct grey Laser cloth interior, complemented by matching grey vinyl door cards and Laser seat inserts.

It was first registered in 1986 and supplied to its only registered keeper new by Ford Bristol Street, Kent. Our vendor acquired it through a family connection after the vehicle had remained garaged for the last 28 years.

Over the past 12 months, it has been recommissioned at a cost of approximately £1,600. The work included four new tyres, a new battery, fuel pump and pipe, radiator reconditioning, replacement front brake calipers and rear wheel cylinders, as well as fresh plugs, points, antifreeze, wiper blades, and an MOT.

The car is accompanied by its original service book, original Bill of Sale, a collection of previous MOT certificates, and supporting invoices.
