An exceptionally well-preserved MGB Roadster with overdrive, wire wheels, original-specification engine and a substantial history file.

Despatched in late August 1965 and first registered on 1 January 1966, this particularly pleasing MGB underwent an extensive restoration around 2002. Some 24 years later, it has stood up remarkably well and has clearly been cherished ever since.

Finished in Tartan Red with black leather trim and red piping, the car retains its original-specification engine and is equipped with the highly desirable overdrive. Although its Heritage Certificate records that it was originally supplied with disc wheels, it had already been converted to wire wheels prior to restoration.

Further period features include twin long-range lamps and a luggage rack. The hood is in excellent condition and a full tonneau cover is included.

The underside presents extremely well, while oil leakage is minimal, with just a few drops evident after the car had been standing for a week.

A substantial history file contains extensive paperwork and invoices documenting the considerable care and expenditure devoted to the car over the years.

One of the most correct and genuine MGB Roadsters we have had for some while — a beautifully presented example whose older restoration has stood the test of time remarkably well.
