Beschrijving

All of our vehicles are rigorously checked before being put up for sale: more than 70 inspection points are verified (mechanics, chassis, bodywork, interior and accessories) + a complete road test carried out by our workshop foreman. Each vehicle also receives a compression test of the engine and/ or a check of the oil pressure when cold (depending on technical feasibility). Our vehicles are prepared in our specialist workshop for classic cars, sports cars and prestige vehicles.

Bodywork / Exterior:

The MG A 1500 Jan 1957 offered here is presented in its original period colour “Old English White”. The bodywork is in excellent visual condition today, despite a few superficial imperfections: a small rub mark on the left rear wing and a few light chips on the door shut/ hinge line on the driver’s door. The chrome bumpers and their overriders are correctly positioned and show no signs of impacts. Only the rear overriders show a few minor signs of oxidation. The “Black” faux-leather hood is in good visual condition. The “Black” faux-leather tonneau cover is also in good condition, despite not being perfectly fitted.

This example is equipped with an interesting and sought-after option on roadsters (open cars without side windows): the side screens. These are in good condition. Likewise, this car is fitted with a fixed aluminium boot rack (luggage carrier). It is in perfect condition and shows no deformation or oxidation. The 4 original painted wire wheels, colour “Grey”, in 15” are in good condition. The 4 tyres will be replaced with new ones in advance of delivery. The 4 chromed knock-offs are in good condition. This example also comes with its spare wheel (painted wire wheel) and its jack.

Among the interesting “Bodywork / Exterior” equipment and options this example has, we noted: the plexiglass side screens, the “Black” faux-leather tonneau cover and the chromed boot rack.

Interior:

The interior has retained its strict period configuration and is in good visual condition. The faux-leather upholstery with “Red” piping is in good condition. We noted a small tear in the driver’s piping and the seat backrests. The matching door cards in “Red” faux leather are also in good visual condition. The dashboard in body colour “Old English White” is in good condition despite a few small scratches that have been corrected. The JAEGER and SMITHS dash instrumentation is perfectly functional. Only the ventilation/ heating unit remains out of service. The original leather-trimmed 4-spoke steering wheel is in good original condition. The original bakelite gear lever knob shows signs of use. This car is also equipped with 2-point “aviation” style seatbelts. The original “Black” carpets are protected by bespoke pvc “MG” mats.

Among the interesting “interior” equipment this example has, we noted: the “aviation” style seatbelts and the original 4-spoke steering wheel.

Chassis:

Having the car placed on the ramp confirms a solid body/ chassis with no visible accident damage or any apparent structural corrosion…
