1949 Triumph Roadster TR2000

Triumph TR2000 roadster of 1949: “a pre-war body on a post-war technology.” This is how the Triumph Roadster can be described: a body with Bugatti-like curves on a Jaguar-origin four-cylinder engine, synchronised gears, gear lever on the right at the wheel, so although right-hand drive, a driver is not disorientated in France…! A car fully restored from 2000 to 2008 in England by a leading English Roadster specialist. A TR club can help you maintain it (advice and parts). Aluminium body panels, chassis in very good condition. Complete restoration photo album available. Bodywork in excellent condition as the photos show, Old English White colour with maximum effect. Chrome in excellent condition, engine very reliable, runs perfectly. Upholstery and interior perfect: very few signs of wear on leather and carpets. Perfect colour match. Dinkey seats impeccable, functional; original rear windscreen and functional; chrome parts redone. Radiator renewed. Cylinders and master cylinder replaced in 2013 during the engine restoration (see photos at the end of the list). All lighting functional, including the centre-return automatic turn indicators, indicators added discreetly for safety and regulation. Owner for 15 years, French collectible plates, I wish to sell it to an enthusiast who will fall in love with this iconic car that gave rise to the Triumph automotive marque’s legend “cars with a tractor engine”; what more can be said about the reliability and its nearly 80 years!
