Vehicle History:

For sale is an exceptionally elegant BMW 327 Cabriolet from 1941 – a genuine classic with timeless styling and historically significant substance. The car was first delivered on 3 March 1941 to Emil Stade of Bromberg in West Prussia. Stade was a BMW dealer and winner of the Masuren Rally. He used this vehicle as an escape car. After the war, the BMW belonged to a police president from Kassel, who acquired it in 1947. Student Isabell von Hahn purchased the car in 1962 and sold it a year later to her fellow student Manfred Hansmann. Mr Hansmann later became a professor at the University of Bonn. From 1971 to 1974, this BMW was owned by Willi Martini, a renowned racing driver and racing team owner from Adenau at the Nürburgring at that time. In 1975, Jürgen Pollack bought the BMW and carried out a complete restoration for the first time. From 2000 to 2001, the car underwent another comprehensive restoration. An eleven-page article in the BMW Veteran Club Magazine details the history and scope of the restoration work. Furthermore, this BMW was featured in the comprehensive volume "BMW" by Könemann with photographs by Rainer Schlegelmich over 6 pages. The vehicle passed to its current owner 25 years ago. An extensive folder of documents confirms the complete vehicle history. Over its 85-year life, this BMW has been completely restored twice and is today in very good visual and mechanical condition. The car is powered by an inline six-cylinder engine with 2. 0 litres displacement and output of 40 kW (54 bhp), combined with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The top speed is approximately 150 km/ h.
