It starts right up and drives wonderfully. Riding on a stretched version of the Jaguar 420G platform, the DS420 shared the big Jaguar?s independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and powerful XK twin-cam inline six with dual carburetors. Finished and opulently trimmed in traditional wood, leather, and wool by Vanden Plas coachbuilders.
