Please note if this vehicle is exported outside of the UK an export license will be required.

Ferrari resisted rear-engined layouts in Formula 1 yet was at the forefront of the technology with its road cars, courtesy of the Dino 206 GT. Named in honour of Enzo Ferrari’s tragically dead son, Alfredino, the model was introduced in 1967. It was surpassed two years later by the 246 GT, the V-6 growing from 2 to 2.4-litres for a total output of 195 horsepower. In 1972, the targa-top GTS debuted. Only 1,274 were completed during a two-year lifecycle.

Chassis number 07094 offered here is one of just 235 configured in right-hand drive for the United Kingdom. Ordered via Maranello Concessionaires, it was specified in Nero over a Rosso Connolly leather interior with Black carpets. Per confirmation of the original order and the research of marque historian Marcel Massini, available on file, the car featured Cromodora alloy wheels, air conditioning, and electric windows. According to Vehicle Production Data provided by Ferrari, the 246 GTS was supplied to the UK in September 1973.

Official Ferrari dealer Lovett of Marlborough took delivery in November, prior to the car selling to first owner Andrew West. The Dino would appear at the Ferrari Owners' Club GB’s annual event at Brocket Hall in 1990 and was sold later that year by John Collins of Talacrest into long-term custodianship in Singapore. Part of a significant collection for 28 years, the Ferrari was the subject of thorough maintenance. Detailed spreadsheets notably log a repaint and interior refurbishment plus engine and suspension overhaul in 2022.

Chassis 07094 was offered as part of a prominent Ferrari collection at RM Sotheby’s London sale in November 2023 and sold to the vendor. In their care, the Dino was reregistered in the UK in April 2024 and submitted to HR Owen in London and marque specialist Simon Furlonger for recommissioning. Invoices spanning June 2024 to February 2025 total almost £18,000 and document a refresh of the carburettors, brakes, and suspension. The wheels were also refurbished and the underside and suspension components detailed. Most recently, the Dino returned to Simon Furlonger in September 2026 for an annual service, wheel alignment, new fuel tank sender, plus tweaks to the door lock, bonnet release, and roof latch mechanisms. The accompanying invoice exceeds £2,160. Back in the UK, the Dino has passed its yearly MoT inspections, with the latest certificate issued in June 2026.

Presented in its factory-correct Nero exterior finish over a black interior, the Dino 246 GTS retains its matching-numbers engine. It would make for a glamourous route into the open-top classic Ferrari driving experience.
