Slough built Right hand drive 1938 Citroen Traction Coupe

VERY RARE, ONLY 7, possibly 9 IN THE WORLD. 1 in Jersey, 2 in New Zealand and 3 possibly 4 in Australia, Possibly 1 in France but hasn't been seen for years. ENE is the only one that hasn't been restored, just a bare metal respray and new upholstery in 2009.

A lady owner from 1938-1972 then owned by Fred Annells till he past it to his Son Barry in 2003. Fred was a Citroen fanatic and started the Traction Owners Club in 1976. Barry ran a Citroen garage, and were both personal friends of mine. I bought it in 2018 but ENE was still maintained by Barry. So only really been looked after by 2 people and has always been garaged hence the good condition. The wheels are a period accessory from the early 40s called Roux Espere and made of alloy. ENEs gear rod junction has been rebuilt giving a smooth gear change. Milage is 104848 miles,

2024 I drove ENE to Clermont-Ferrand to the 90 years of the Traction meeting. There were 1000 Tractions there. No more than a dozen Coupes and of course ENE the only English one. Whenever we stoped in France a crowd would gather. If you don't like attention then this car isn't for you! There is no recorded history of an English one ever being sold but all the English Citroens fetch more than the French. They are seen as superia and are rare. The British added a Crome Grill and headlights, A wooden dash instead of painted, Semaphore Indicators, and Leather seats. ENE was valued at the meeting at £180, 000 based on her rarity, condition and history. ENE has appeared in several books over the years, these come with the car. Reason for selling is I'm down sizing to relocate.
