1994 Audi S2 - S2

The 1994 Audi S2 is one of the most iconic models in Audi's history and marked the beginning of the prestigious "S" range, dedicated to the brand's sports models. Developed as the successor to the legendary Audi Quattro, the S2 combined exceptional performance with the renowned quattro all-wheel drive, offering a fast, safe, and engaging driving experience.

Equipped with a 2.2-liter, five-cylinder in-line, 20-valve, turbocharged engine, the Audi S2 developed 230 horsepower and up to 380 Nm of torque in overboost. This engine allowed it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds and reach a top speed close to 250 km/h, impressive figures for the time.

One of the S2's greatest highlights is its five-cylinder engine, known for its robustness, reliability, and the unmistakable sound it produces. Thanks to its robust iron block and enormous tuning potential, many examples easily achieve over 300 or even 500 horsepower with the appropriate modifications.

The quattro all-wheel drive ensures excellent grip on any type of surface, providing great stability in corners and safe driving even in adverse conditions. This technology became one of Audi's trademarks and contributed to the success of the S2.

Inside, the model offered a sporty and comfortable environment, with Recaro seats, a specific S-version steering wheel, on-board computer, air conditioning, ABS, airbags, and various comfort features that were quite advanced for the 1990s.

The Audi S2 is considered a modern classic highly valued by motorsport enthusiasts. Its relatively limited production, excellent build quality, impressive performance, and historical importance make it one of Audi's most desirable models. Furthermore, it served as the basis for the development of the legendary Audi RS2 Avant, the first model of the famous RS division, created in partnership with Porsche.
