1953 Opel Olympia

The year is 1953. The streets are quieter, the world is on the move, and the economic miracle is rolling along on four wheels. Something new is on display outside the Opel dealership: the Opel Olympia Rekord – sleek, rounded, with plenty of chrome and the promise of freedom. Back then, a car wasn’t a status symbol – it was a dream on wheels.

That’s exactly the sort of car standing here today. A 1953 Opel Olympia Rekord, second-hand, and in loving hands for decades. Unrestored, but in an incredibly original and well-maintained condition that is hard to find these days. The paintwork bears the marks of history; the interior exudes a sense of patina and a journey through time – nothing has been overhauled, nothing has been altered. Just genuine substance.

The documentation is impressive: the original service booklet, the customs and clearance documents from the car’s first delivery, invoices and handwritten notes – a complete historical record that brings the car to life.
