1979 Chevrolet Camaro

Gateway Classic Cars presents a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro, representing the peak of second-generation F-body styling. This iconic muscle car features aggressive, wind-tunnel-refined aesthetics combined with comfortable, road-ready performance. Whether for nostalgic weekend cruising or as a collector's addition, this Camaro offers the unmistakable look and rumble that defined a generation.

Under the long, sculpted hood is a 5.7-liter V8 (350 cubic-inch) engine known for its reliability, ease of maintenance, and timeless exhaust note. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 (TH350) 3-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and effortless shifting.

The chassis includes a GM 10-bolt rear end with an 8.5-inch ring gear, paired with a factory independent front suspension and front disc brakes. This setup ensures a straight, balanced, and confident ride, making long trips enjoyable.

The 1979 model year refined the second-gen look with a sleek, body-colored urethane front fascia and a refreshed rear tail-light panel. The muscular lines, aggressive front spoiler, and commanding stance make it stand out at any car show or on the street.

Inside, the cabin offers a vintage Americana feel with a driver-focused dashboard, clear gauges, comfortably bolstered bucket seats, and a center console with the shifter within easy reach. It provides a tactile driving environment that highlights why the Camaro has captivated enthusiasts for decades.
