Beschrijving
Launched in August 1932 the J2 Midget was based on the C Type racing car better known as the Montlhery Midget a direct derivative of the MG M Type, constructed on straight sided chassis rails with tubular cross members, early cars were fitted with cycle type wings replaced a year later with long swept wings.
This car has been updated from the original specification to have hydraulic brakes, new Motor Wheel Services wire wheels with Blockley tyres and an XPAG Engine and gearbox (from a later MG TC) fitted with a Shorrock Supercharger, a common modification with kits sold by Shorrock.
This gives the engine an extra 15 bhp, increasing the top speed to 95 mph and acceleration from 0 — 60 mph in 13 seconds.
