Triumph TR3 A

TR3A con overdrive del 1959 iscritta ASI con il numero 927837 e con il Certificato di Rilevanza Storica e Collezionistica n. 488015 del 26 aprile 2023. L’auto è stata acquistata dal precedente proprietario il 21 novembre 2011. Da quella data è stata completamente revisionata. I lavori di restauro sono durati molto a lungo ed attualmente l’auto ha percorso solo 5.500 km. I lavori di restauro eseguiti sono in sintesi i seguenti:

1. Sabbiatura della carrozzeria e riverniciatura competa con il colore bianco SPA White Year 1959 (code ICI 3436, code -PPG 8335)

2. Rifacimento completo del motore con sostituzione della testata, canne e pistoni da 87 mm, radiatore in alluminio e altri ricambi originali acquistati da MOSS Europe e da Limora

3. Revisione completa del cambio e dell’overdrive effettuata presso una ditta specializzata inglese Hardy Engineering Transmissions Ltd

4. Revisione completa dell’impianto elettrico

5. Revisione della strumentazione

6. Sostituzione della tappezzeria con una nuova tappezzeria in pelle nera fornita da un fabbricante inglese specializzato in Triumph TR3

7. Sostituzione dei cerchi con cerchi in acciaio inox (Tubeless Wire - 5 1/2” x 15” 70 Spoke, Outset 10 mm) forniti da Motor Wheel Service International Limited e pneumatici 165 R15 Bf Goodrich con fascia bianca acquistati dagli USA.

TR3A 1959 with overdrive registered at ASI with number 927837 and with Certificate of Historical and Collectible Significance no. 488015 dated April 26, 2023. The car was purchased by the previous owner on November 21, 2011. Since then, it has been completely overhauled. The restoration work took a very long time and the car has currently traveled only 5,500 km. The restoration work carried out is summarised as follows:

1. Body sandblasting and complete repainting in SPA White Year 1959 (code ICI 3436, code -PPG 8335)

2. Complete engine rebuild, including replacement of the cylinder head, 87 mm liners and pistons, aluminum radiator, and other original spare parts purchased from MOSS Europe and Limora

3. Complete overhaul of the gearbox and overdrive by a specialist English company, Hardy Engineering Transmissions Ltd

4. Complete overhaul of the electrical system

5. Overhaul of the instrumentation

6. Replacement of the upholstery with new black leather supplied by an English manufacturer specializing in Triumph TR3

7. Replacement of the wheels with stainless steel rims (Tubeless Wire - 5 1/2” x 15” 70 Spoke, 10 mm Outset) supplied by Motor Wheel Service International Limited and 165 R15 Bf Goodrich whitewall tyres purchased from the USA.
