The private seller offers for sale this 1960 Lancia Flaminia Coupé, powered by a 2.5-litre V6 engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is presented in white with a light beige interior, a combination that highlights the clean, graceful lines of the Pininfarina body. The polished chrome brightwork, the characteristic Lancia shield grille, the original style hubcaps and the elegant fins at the rear all contribute to an understated yet very distinguished appearance. Inside, the beige upholstery, matching door cards with their pull-out armrests and pockets, and the spacious rear bench create a comfortable and inviting cabin, facing a black dashboard with the large-diameter steering wheel and the Lancia emblem on the horn push.

This Flaminia began its life in Italy, where it belonged to a vineyard owner, before moving to Germany several years ago where it formed part of a large private collection. Over the last 24 months a considerable amount has been invested in the car. A new exhaust system has been fitted, parts of the braking system have been renewed and the carburettors have been overhauled, underlining the care that has been invested in this Flaminia.

The Flaminia was introduced as Lancia’s flagship, succeeding the celebrated Aurelia and serving as the brand’s most prestigious model throughout the 1960s. The Italian presidency even used special Flaminia landaulets for official state occasions. Alongside the saloon, Lancia offered a range of coachbuilt variants, and the Coupé designed and built by Pininfarina was the most widely produced of these. Its elegant, well-balanced proportions made it one of the most refined Italian grand tourers of its day, a car for discerning owners who valued quality and engineering over flashy display.

Technically the Flaminia was as sophisticated as its appearance suggests. The all-alloy V6 engine continued the pioneering Lancia V6 tradition established with the Aurelia, while the gearbox was mounted at the rear in a transaxle layout together with a De Dion rear axle for balanced weight distribution and composed road holding. Today, the Flaminia Coupé is recognised by collectors as an exceptionally stylish and rewarding classic, offering the craftsmanship and engineering refinement of Lancia at its peak, with the space and comfort to cover long distances in true grand touring style.
