1929 ROLLS ROYCE Phantom I All-weather Tourer

Rolls-Royce Derby Phantom I (New Phantom 40/ 50) from 1929 ordered on a long chassis by a certain Miss Watson in December 1928 and sent to coachbuilder Hooper in January 1929 for finishing to the client's specifications. The Phantom was the flagship model of the renowned British manufacturer, nicknamed "the best car in the world".

Coachbuilt as an "Open Tourer", a 4-door convertible sometimes called a "Torpedo". 7. 7L displacement (6-cylinder inline engine) with aluminium cylinder head.

Off-white and black paintwork with deep red Connolly leather upholstery. Excellent finishing, supplied by the finest craftsmen. Woodwork (dashboard, door cappings, storage/ bar in the rear compartment) in walnut.

21-inch Michelin tyres. Long-range lights. Lucas headlamps. Rear boot. Side-screens (lateral protections).

The car is in very sound condition (underwent a comprehensive restoration some fifteen years ago) and remains in excellent overall state.

Moreover, it has just undergone major engine, brake, suspension and carburettor overhaul for approximately €9, 000 and runs very well. A video of the engine running is available upon request.

Delivery at cost price throughout mainland France, Benelux and Germany by specialist transporter (the car measures 5. 50m and weighs 2. 4 tonnes).
