SIZAIRE FRERES 1928 model 6SW
The grand history of Sizaire and Naudin, Sizaire-Berwick and Sizaire Frères has been both remarkably rich in technical innovations and financially turbulent. Unfortunately, Sizaire Frères was forced to close its factory during the 1929 crisis.
It is thus that this truly beautiful 1928 limousine awakens from its slumber, having spent approximately 25 years in a major museum.
The car was built with a very lightweight aluminium body specifically designed to exploit the qualities of the rare 6SW chassis. In the design of this bodywork, only the wings and running boards are steel.
The suspension is highly sophisticated and features independent wheels all round. The engine is a noble 6-cylinder inline Knight sleeve-valve unit manufactured by Willys-Overland USA.
The interior is warm and beautifully finished, with abundant woodwork, and the period upholstery perfectly reflects the Art Deco years.
We have important information from Maurice Sizaire's grandson, who knows this car well and confirms that it is one of only 2 surviving examples to date.
Moreover, its original engine number 87852 is correctly matched with its chassis number 2052 in the records, so we can classify this car as "matching numbers", which truly reflects its authenticity.

The upholstery and woodwork are damaged in certain areas. The car is practically complete; it is missing the spare wheels and one instrument panel dial.
The car has no registration plate. A museum certificate and an invoice from an automotive professional will be provided.
