1988 Nissan Bluebird Executive I Turbo

UK-supplied and first registered on 23rd April 1988, this range-topping Nissan Bluebird Executive I Turbo is the rarer four-door saloon variant. It is finished in Super White with an unmarked brown leather interior. Our vendor believes it to be the first Executive I Turbo produced at Nissan's Sunderland factory.

The car has had just one former registered keeper and shows only 25,937 miles at the time of cataloguing. It was purchased by our vendor in 2019 and is offered with an exceptional history file, including its original service book, owner's manuals, warranty documentation, supplying dealer paperwork, specification brochures, previous MOT certificates, and original road tax discs.

Powered by Nissan's factory 1,809cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 135bhp, it is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. It retains its original factory specifications, including power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, central locking, air conditioning, electric tilt-and-slide sunroof, electronically adjustable suspension, factory boost gauge, genuine Executive body kit and rear spoiler, 15-inch Executive alloy wheels, brown leather trim with electric lumbar adjustment, and the original Blaupunkt Atlanta SQR47 radio/cassette with a premium sound system.

The vehicle is supported by a documented service history comprising 11 recorded services between 1988 and 2017. Early maintenance was carried out by the supplying dealer, Dan Perkins Nissan, with later servicing by T.P. Autos. Invoices detail further expenditure, including a cambelt and water pump replacement at 23,335 miles, along with new brakes, tyres, battery, and suspension components.

It was featured in Retro Cars magazine (Issue 132, March/April 2020) and displayed at the NEC Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show in 2022.
