1981 Ford Capri 3.0S

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

It is one of the last Mk III 3.0S Capris produced before Ford introduced the fuel-injected 2.8i, representing the final chapter of the legendary Essex V6 Capri.

The car is presented in striking yellow with a factory-correct interior featuring distinctive Fishnet Recaro seats. It has been restored to an exceptional standard, including a full exterior repaint, interior refurbishment, and meticulous detailing throughout.

Mechanically, the car has been overhauled with great attention to detail. It was recently professionally tuned by Classic Car Tuning. The matching numbers 3.0-litre Essex V6 runs and presents perfectly.

The restoration was undertaken by previous owner Trevor Carlin, founder of Carlin Motorsport, ensuring workmanship of the highest quality.
