1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo Series 2

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

The car was supplied by Lookers Ford of Market Harborough to the first owners on January 5, 1989. It is finished in Radiant Red with a Zolda cloth interior. Initially registered to the first owner's company, it was re-registered in his own name on the same day. The vehicle was used sparingly by his wife until her passing in 2007 and was then dry stored until 2015, having covered approximately 5,000 miles.

In August 2015, the car was consigned by the first owner to Silverstone Auctions (now Iconic Auctioneers) and has since been sold successfully by us twice. The car was thoroughly inspected and prepared by the successful bidder, the third registered keeper, including a professional respray.

It is supplied with a well-stamped service book, handbooks, receipts, a photo album, and historic MOT certificates, the most recent valid until May 2027. The vehicle is beautifully presented and perhaps the finest example available, with just 5,740 recorded miles from new. We welcome any inspection.
