Designed under the direction of legendary stylist Bruno Sacco, this long-wheelbase "Sonderklasse" (Special Class) sedan was the definitive choice for CEOs, diplomats, and royalty in the late 1980s.

Powered by a 5,547cc single overhead cam M117 V8 engine, it offers 296bhp and 336lb.ft of torque through a four-speed automatic gearbox.

The 1989 model-year 560 SEL was well equipped with standard anti-lock brakes (ABS), traction control, a driver-side airbag, self-levelling rear hydraulic suspension, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front and rear seats, a power rear bench seat, and a functional power antenna.

Finished in Astral Silver over dark blue leather and burr walnut veneers, the car was registered new on 17th November 1989 and bears the pre-delivery inspection stamp of Prentice Ltd., the Mercedes-Benz dealer in Portadown, County Armagh.

The current owners have enjoyed the car since 1992, providing thirty-four years of continuous stewardship from only two keepers from new.
