The Mercedes-Benz 200 GE belongs to the first generation of the Geländewagen, known internally as the W460. The G-Class was developed in the 1970s in collaboration with Steyr-Daimler-Puch and was launched in 1979 as an off-road vehicle with a focus on ruggedness, simplicity, and versatility.
