Chassis No. AM116 128

Engine No. AM116 128

Body No. 1071

Completed at Modena in October 1969 with Vignale body number 1071, chassis AM116 128 retains its matching-numbers 4.2-liter V8 and is accompanied by Certificate of Origin issued by Maserati Classiche. A copy of its original shipping notice confirms its dispatch on 15 May 1970 to the Turin dealer Bordese, the Indy then finished in Rame over a white interior. First registered in Switzerland in April 1976, the Indy has remained in the country ever since, with its early Geneva years recorded through a run of stamped emissions certificates beginning in 1990 at 40,761 kilometers. A modest 12,000 kilometers have been added in the thirty-six years since, the car receiving regular attention from Swiss specialists throughout.

Hischier Auto AG rebuilt the air conditioning and overhauled the water pump in 2012, machining a new pulley in the process. Seven years later, in 2019, Garage Limacher AG, the official Maserati agent at Horw, devoted 39 hours and some CHF 13'480 to a thorough recommissioning, attending to the electrical system, renewing the shock absorbers, resealing the engine, gearbox, and differential, rebuilding the rear brakes, replacing the silencers and fitting four Michelin XWX tires.

The most substantial recent effort has come from Goodtimer at St. Margrethen, which has logged roughly 95 hours since 2023, the bulk of it between October 2025 and February 2026. The ignition was renewed throughout with Bosch and NGK components, the rear calipers professionally overhauled, the braking system replumbed with certified Fischer lines, the four Weber 42 DCNF carburetors resealed, and original-pattern Carello headlamps fitted. So prepared, the Indy passed both the MFK and Veteran inspection in February 2026 without a single defect noted.

The elegant Celeste Chiaro exterior, resprayed under earlier ownership by Marina & Miraglia of Rümlang, was polished and sealed by Schwungrad AG in June 2023, while the Blu leather, retrimmed to original samples by the second owner, presents in fine order. Offered fresh from so thorough a program of recommissioning, this superb grand tourer awaits any number of high-speed rallies.
