The seller offers for sale this 1985 Volkswagen T3 Dehler Camper, powered by a 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This is an original Dehler-converted example, fully equipped for touring with a kitchen unit, shower, a bed that folds out from the rear seating, a table and swivelling front seats, allowing the cab to turn into part of the living area. An elevating roof with roof rack and a Thule awning are fitted, and the coachwork carries the “Profi” model badge to the rear. The interior is finished in a period tartan-pattern upholstery with wood-effect cabinetry throughout the living area. The odometer shows 118,000 km, and the van carries a Dutch registration.

The Volkswagen T3, known internally as the Type 2 (T3) and sold in some markets as the Vanagon, was produced from 1979 and was the last of Volkswagen’s air- and later water-cooled rear-engined Transporter generations before the front-engined T4 took over. Specialist coachbuilders such as Dehler, working alongside better-known names like Westfalia, converted the T3 into fully-equipped camper vans, adding kitchens, extra sleeping space and elevating roofs while retaining the base van’s simple, robust mechanicals and useful load capacity.

With its full complement of camping equipment, elevating roof and swivelling cab seats, this T3 Dehler offers a practical, ready-to-use classic camper, equally suited to weekend trips or longer touring holidays, and represents a well-equipped example of a model with an enthusiastic and active following among VW camper collectors.
