1927 NSU 502 T

We are selling a 1927 NSU 502 T.

The vehicle was restored by the previous owner over an extended period with considerable time and effort, and put into proper working order. Care was deliberately taken to preserve the old character of the machine and maintain an authentic appearance.

During the work, the engine and gearbox were overhauled. The wheels were re-spoked and painted, and fitted with new tyres. The Bowden cables were also renewed. The clutch was converted to a high-quality and reliably functioning dry clutch.

The NSU is in a roadworthy condition, starts reliably and is in reasonable technical order.

This NSU 502 T from 1927 is an interesting transitional model leading to the later 501T.

Accordingly, various features are already present that point to the successor model, including the wire-spoked wheels, the front-wheel brake and the side-mounted tool boxes.

The NSU is powered by the characteristic cam-operated V2 engine, which contributes significantly to the appeal of these early NSU twin-cylinders, not least through its distinctive sound.

Particularly pleasing is the presence of the original pre-war registration document, which adds further value to the vehicle.
