1928 Austin 20/6 Pick Up

Austin Twenty is a large car introduced by Austin after the end of the First World War in April 1919, and continued in production until 1930. After the Austin 20/ 6 model was introduced in 1927, the first model was referred to as the Austin 20/ 4.

This Austin 20/ 6 was first registered in 1928 in Chelmsford, more recently it has spent a number of years in Devon.

The 6 cylinder engine starts and runs well, it has a new 12V battery and sounds great. It has good oil pressure and pulls well.

The drivetrain is in good order, the gears are direct and the clutch smooth. It drives well and goes along nicely.

The body is very solid, it has been highly restored at some point. The woodwork is new and finished to a high standard. The interior has been restored and replaced and although the paintwork isn’t immaculate it shines and has also been finished to a good standard.

The Austin 20/ 6 is one of the more rarer and desirable models, we have the current V5 and it is registered correctly as a pick up.
