1983 Jeep CJ7

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is excited to present this 1983 Jeep CJ-7, a true icon that blends rugged capability with unmistakable vintage style. Finished in a striking maroon exterior over a black interior, this CJ-7 stands out with a bold presence while maintaining a clean, purpose-built feel inside.

Under the hood, the inline 6-cylinder engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, delivering a classic, hands-on Jeep driving experience. Known for its durability and strong low-end torque, this setup is equally at home cruising around town or taking on off-road terrain. Power steering and power brakes add comfort and confidence behind the wheel, making it easy to enjoy wherever the road or trail leads.

Built with adventure in mind, this CJ-7 comes equipped with a tow bar and winch, ready for weekend getaways or helping out on the trail. The CJ-7, produced from 1976 to 1986, was the longest-running model in the CJ lineup and remains a favorite thanks to its improved wheelbase and versatility.

Fun fact: CJ stands for Civilian Jeep, continuing the legacy of the original military Jeeps from World War II. Many models from this era also featured removable tops and doors, giving you that true open-air driving experience that modern SUVs just can't replicate.

This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 isn't just a vehicle; it's a fun, capable classic that's ready to be enjoyed every time you turn the key.
