1950 Hudson Commodore

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present this iconic 1950 Hudson Commodore.

When Hudson introduced its revolutionary "Step-Down" design, it completely transformed the American automotive landscape. By placing the floorboards below the perimeter frame rails, Hudson achieved an ultra-low center of gravity, sleek fastback proportions, and a balanced, planted ride that easily out-handled most of its contemporaries. This 1950 Commodore showcases that legendary engineering in all its glory, complete with massive chrome bumpers, detailed body trim, and streamlined body panels that define post-war luxury.

Under the hood lies a strong powertrain paired with a smooth-shifting 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Cruising down the highway is effortless, thanks to the independent front suspension with coil springs and a solid rear axle stabilized by a rear track bar. The cabin offers roominess made possible by the Monobuilt unibody chassis, featuring comfortable plush seating, a bold dashboard layout, and high-end period detailing. Whether you are looking for a stand-out vintage cruiser, a show contender, or a crown jewel for a classic car collection, this 1950 Hudson Commodore is ready to deliver an exceptional driving experience.
