Magnifique Chevrolet Corvette coupé de 1973 équipée de son moteur LS4 Big Block 454 ci d'origine (Matching Number) et de sa boîte automatique Turbo Hydra 400.

MÉCANIQUE:

Moteur entièrement reconditionné avec améliorations (Pompe à eau gros volume, radiateur aluminium, alternateur neuf, carburateur Holley Brawler 750 cfm 4 barrils, pipe d'admission aluminium Edelbrock). Système d'allumage électronique haute performance MSD et distributeur neufs (2018). Impossible de dire mieux que toutes les pièces sous le capot de cette voiture ont été remplacées. Elles ont été remplacées pour des pièces d'origines ou de qualité supérieure.

Une direction assistée à crémaillère (précision de conduite moderne) remplace celle d’origine, elle a été installée récemment pour augmenter le confort de conduite,

La transmission a été reconditionnée en 2025 par un spécialiste.

Ligne d'échappement 2 pouces double sortie avec silencieux Flowmaster.

Cette voiture est décatalysée. Avec les améliorations des pièces, la puissance est estimée autour de 330 chevaux.

À noter qu’il n’y a pas eu modification de l’arbre à cames, culasse ou pistons.

EXTERIEUR:

Peinture noire dans un état exceptionnelle, elle est profonde, ne présente aucun défaut apparent, le nez et le capot de la voiture ont été repeint il y a moins de 6 mois pour être sûr de garder l'état globale de la carrosserie proche d'une qualité showroom, la peinture a reçu un polissage récemment, tous les chromes, badges et emblèmes sont neufs ou récent, tous les joints (fenêtres, portes, T-Top) sont neufs ou récent.

À noter que l'emblème Corvette situé à l’avant a été remplacé après la prise des photos.

À noter que la couleur d’origine était rouge.

INTÉRIEUR:

Finition Oxblood entièrement rénovée. Sièges simili cuir neufs, moquettes et tapis neufs (2026). Vitre arrière neuve (2026). Ce qui donne une très belle qualité d'intérieur qu'on pourrait juger d'excellent état, le reste de l'intérieur a été rénové en 2004 et comportent des traces minimes d'usure normale.

CHÂSSIS & ROUES :

Châssis en parfait état, comportant des traces d'usure normale, aucune rouille, aucune déformation, aucun choc.

Jantes Boyd Coddington (1200€ l’unité) dans un très bon état avec pneus neufs (2026).

Magnificent 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe equipped with its original matching-numbers LS4 454 ci Big Block engine and Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic transmission.

MECHANICAL:

Engine fully rebuilt with upgraded performance parts (high-flow water pump, aluminum radiator, new alternator, Holley Brawler 750 cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold). New MSD high-performance electronic ignition system and distributor installed in 2018. It is safe to say that virtually every component under the hood has been replaced, using either OEM or higher-quality aftermarket parts.

A rack-and-pinion power steering system (offering modern driving precision) was recently installed to improve driving comfort, replacing the original setup.

The transmission was rebuilt in 2025 by a specialist.

2-inch dual exhaust system featuring Flowmaster mufflers.

This vehicle is decat / non-catalyzed. With the upgraded parts, output is estimated at around 330 hp.

Note: The camshaft, cylinder heads, and pistons remain stock.

The engine bay is exceptionally neat and detailed. Hoses, clamps, and wiring are neatly routed with no custom hacks or loose wires.

The engine block, repainted in factory Chevy Orange, contrasts perfectly with the chrome air cleaner and the sandblasted aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold.

EXTERIOR:

Black paint in exceptional condition—deep finish with no visible flaws. The nose and hood were repainted less than 6 months ago to ensure the overall bodywork maintains showroom quality. The paint recently received a full detail and polish.

The gloss depth is impressive, featuring a flawless mirror finish with no orange peel or sag.

All chrome trim, badges, and emblems are new or recent. All weatherstripping and seals (windows, doors, T-Tops) are new or recent.

Body panel gaps (doors, hood, T-Tops, front and rear fascias) are aligned with high precision, which is rare for a fiberglass C3 Corvette.

Note: The front Corvette emblem was replaced after the photos were taken.

INTERIOR:

Fully restored Oxblood interior. New leatherette/vinyl seats, new carpets and floor mats (2026). New rear window (2026). The interior is in excellent condition overall; the remaining cabin components were refurbished in 2004 and show minimal, normal signs of wear.

The dashboard pad, center console, and gauge cluster are exceptionally clean and free of sun cracks.

CHASSIS & WHEELS:

Chassis in perfect condition with normal wear, no rust, no frame deformation, and no history of impacts.

Boyd Coddington wheels ($1,200 each) in very good condition, fitted with new tires (2026).

HISTORY & MAINTENANCE:

Detailed service history since 2004 with over $40,000 in parts invoices, alongside photo documentation of the last full respray and body restoration.

The current owner has replaced almost everything on the car since 2004, maintaining it to a very high standard.

Only OEM or high-grade performance parts were used.

Full service completed in May 2026: all fluids flushed/replaced, and suspension rubber bushings (silentblocs) replaced.

STARTING & DRIVING DYNAMICS:

Cold starts are effortless (the Holley carb primes easily), with the engine quickly settling into a smooth, steady idle and zero excessive exhaust smoke. Once up to operating temperature, oil pressure remains strong, and the upgraded aluminum cooling system keeps engine temps perfectly in check, even in traffic.

On the road, the 454 ci Big Block pulls hard and linearly across the rev range with no hesitation or flat spots, delivered with a deep, authoritative exhaust note. The Turbo Hydra 400 transmission shifts smoothly and responsively both up and down, with no harsh clunks or hesitation.

Thanks to the recently installed rack-and-pinion power steering, road handling is exceptionally precise with tight steering response and zero wander. The suspension feels tight and quiet over bumps. The power brakes bite confidently and pull straight. No major fluid leaks noted under the car before/after driving.

Production note: Only 4,412 Corvettes were produced with the LS4 454 engine out of a total production run of 30,464 units for 1973.

The deep black exterior paired with the Oxblood interior is visually stunning. Although this is a color change from factory original (red), this highly desirable specification virtually offsets any theoretical color-change depreciation.
