1967 Volkswagen Beetle 1200 Square Window

For Sale - 1967 Volkswagen Beetle 1200a

I bought this back in 2017 as a complete restoration project and spent the next 5 years fully restoring the car.

Bodywork - Both floor pans, Frame head, Both heater channels, Both A posts, Rear quarters, Rear valance, Front valance, Spare wheel well, Outriggers etc all replaced. Body finished in VW L478 Beryl green.

Suspension - Front suspension is a 4” Narrowed beam on air shocks, Rear is EVA resto all on manual management hidden in the glovebox.

Wheels – Just Kampers smoothies in body colour 4. 5 front and 6 rears

Interior – Original seats Retrimmed in Harris tweed and brown vinyl along with the parcel shelf, headlining, sun visors, door cards and a tweed jacket for the air tank, All completed by Retro Re-trims and finished off with an Air-cooled accessories 911 steering wheel.

Engine and gearbox are the standard 1200 units mileage is circa 80k runs and drives lovely. It has had a new carb, dynamo and recently fully serviced. I drove it to Belgium and back in March and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again tomorrow.

I have a huge file of receipts and build photos all along the way to show what was done throughout the restoration.

Ive been in two minds about selling this for a little while as I absolutely love it and don’t really want to let it go but with a newborn it would make life easier if I was to sell it and get a bus. That being said I’ve got my eye on a couple of things but if you have a split or early bay then I am open to sorting a deal on something! I would love for it to go to a good home where someone can enjoy it as much as I have!
