1961 Jaguar XK150 DHC

The 3. 4-litre engine matches the chassis number; the gearbox was replaced during the restoration with a ZF 4-speed automatic gearbox from a 1990 Jaguar XJ40. The mileage is 76, 740 miles.

Although it was a direct descendant of the XK 120 and XK 140, the 150 presented a number of innovations when it was launched in 1957: the windscreen was now made of a single pane instead of a split windscreen, and was set back 4 inches on the bodywork. This resulted in an elongated bonnet and a more striking profile.

This car is the only left-hand drive DHC ever delivered to Bahrain.

It was imported from the United States in 2010. The original engine was restored at the same time as the car and still occupies its original position in the engine bay. The gearbox was replaced during the restoration with a ZF 4-speed automatic gearbox from a 1990 Jaguar XJ40.

During the restoration, the car was repainted in an elegant black finish on the exterior, with a "biscuit" interior and matching hood. It is now registered in the name of its third owner in Europe.
