History and restoration work

The Land Rover was imported from the UK many years ago and underwent extensive repair and restoration work between 2013 and 2017.

The aim was not to create a concours or show vehicle, but to preserve the character of a genuine working Land Rover while bringing it to a sound, fully usable condition. As many original components and structural elements as possible were retained.

This was not simply a cosmetic refurbishment or a matter of covering corrosion with additional sheet metal. The bodywork, bulkhead and chassis were properly repaired, with emphasis on strength, functionality, long-term usability and preservation of the vehicle's original character.

After the work was completed, the Land Rover continued to be used as a real working vehicle rather than being kept solely as a display piece. It is fully roadworthy and functional, with the character of a historic working Land Rover that has had a genuine working life.

Extensive photographic documentation of the work is available, showing the vehicle from its original condition through the various stages of repair to the finished vehicle.
