Beschrijving

The Cultivated Collector is proud to present our 1967 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series II, Chassis 9477, finished in its striking, as-delivered colorway of Azzurro over Pelle Nera Franzi leather. Showing 75k KM, 9477 presents in excellent condition, having recently benefited from an extensive mechanical restoration and overhaul completed in 2025 at the hands of R&R Automotive Restorations of Mount Kisco, New York, with accompanying work notes, logs, and invoices totaling over $260k. Further complementing 9477's documented history are service records dating back to 2002, making this a well-chronicled and thoroughly sorted example of one of Ferrari's most elegant and underappreciated grand tourers.

The 330 GT 2+2 made its public debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1964 as the successor to the beloved 250 GTE, carrying forward Ferrari's front-engined V12 grand touring lineage with a larger, more powerful, and more refined package. Clothed in elegant Pininfarina coachwork and built around a Tipo 571 tubular steel chassis, the 330 GT 2+2 was powered by Ferrari's Colombo-derived 3,967cc all-alloy V12, producing 300 horsepower and capable of reaching a top speed of 152 mph; highly formidable figures for a genuine four-seat grand tourer of the era.

The Series II, phased into production in mid-1965 at the personal insistence of Enzo Ferrari, replaced the original quad headlamp arrangement with a cleaner two-headlamp configuration bearing a strong family resemblance to the contemporary 275 GTS, and also introduced a five-speed gearbox in place of the earlier four-speed-plus-overdrive unit. It was Ferrari's best-selling model until the arrival of the 365 GT in autumn 1967, with 1,099 examples produced across both series, making the 330 GT 2+2 the first Ferrari to exceed 1,000 units of production.

Chassis 9477 was delivered new to Italy in 1967; from 1978 through 2009 it resided in France, followed by a period of ownership in Monaco from 2009 through 2021, before ultimately finding its way to the United States. This itinerant European provenance, spanning three of the continent's most celebrated automotive cultures across more than four decades, lends 9477 a richness of character that few examples of the model can claim. With its recent comprehensive mechanical overhaul, documented history, and thoroughly European origins, 9477 is a compelling and road-ready example of the breed, ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker exactly as Enzo Ferrari intended.
