1933 MG Magnette K1 Saloon

This is the rarest of all MG models and the only MG K1 saloon left in existence.

The chassis has been completely restored with new springs, bushes, brake cables, brake linings and its ultra rare magnesium brake back plates and drums. A new wiring loom has been fitted, rebuild differential, rebuilt front axle, king pins, wheel bearings etc.

The high ratio ENV gearbox including its rare Speedo drive is fully re-built by the late Mike Alison who also undertook most of the chassis work.

The car has new motor wheel services 19” wheels, shod with new Blockley tyres and tubes.

The bodywork has been restored with repaired original wings, running boards and a new bonnet, which needs little work to prepare for final paintwork.

The dashboard has all been restored with most instruments restored by John Marks of Vintage Instruments.

The radiator has been re-cored with the shell being re- chromed. The headlights are also fully restored and re- chromed.

The interior of the car is all original with original leather seats and panels but needs some restoration.

The original engine is with the car and dismantled but complete and needs to be fully re- built. The block and head are crack free.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to purchase a very interesting pre-war MG, which would make a great family car.
