1969 Daf 55 Higly original and well maintained.

Just pulled in; the Daf is now being professionally polished and cleaned.

A magnificent Daf 55 in a very original condition and in tip-top mechanical order.

The interior is entirely original and a real time capsule. The seats have their original upholstery and everything is intact. It looks absolutely lovely inside. Even the steering wheel and headlining are completely undamaged, despite being 57 years old. The rubber floor covering is remarkably neat, protected by lovely new velour mats.

The indestructible 1108 cc Cléon-Fonte engine has an excellent reputation. Renault had been fitting this engine in various models for years, and for Daf this was a logical choice. The compact, water-cooled four-cylinder engine gave sales a boost, and the brand was finally taken seriously. It’s striking, though, just how light and comfortable this Daf is to drive and handle. You can easily keep up with today’s traffic.
