1967 Jaguar Mark 2 V8

Selling on behalf of a good friend due to health reasons.

This is not your usual Mk2 Jaguar, it was fitted with a 351 V8 engine, autobox and air conditioning many years ago in America.

The conversion itself was done very well with no cutting or modifications to the body, engine bay or chassis. It does have an extra gearbox support fitted, along with power steering and wire wheels.

My friend bought it 10 years ago when it first came to the UK and proceeded to renew the brakes including calipers, pipes, master cylinders, servo etc and it has sat in storage since.

The underneath is extremely solid, doesnt look like it needs any welding. All the chassis rails, jacking points, crows feet, floors are all very good. It was originally finished in my opinion the best colour opalescent silver blue and at some point the bottom half was painted dark blue. The paintwork does have a few cracks and blisters showing, the boot lid and one of the doors being the worst, however the boot lid is not rotten, its just the paint has cracked bad and lifted.

Interior pretty much original needing tidying. Would benefit from new carpets, the wood re finishing and the rear squab has a patch in it.

Chrome will need attention in places.

Exhaust from middle of car back is missing, however it looks like standard exhaust will fit the existing down pipes.

It does start and run under its own steam from a petrol can in the boot, and the brakes still work. Going to attempt to see if it will run off the tank with a new pump.

It has its engine plaque attached to door shut.

Obviously is in need of some restoration but it is a rare and unusual worth while project.

Originally this was a 3. 4 manual overdrive car according to the Heritage certificate.

There is available all the parts required to convert it to right hand drive that can go with the car if required.

There is also a 3. 4 engine and manual overdrive gearbox available but this would be by separate degotiation only.
