The Cobra's story began in the early 1960s under the vision of Carroll Shelby, an American racing driver and tuner. His idea: combine the lightweight British AC Ace roadster with the power of an American V8 engine. From this union was born an automobile that became an absolute icon, with the 427 version still embodying today the quintessence of performance and driving pleasure.

Designed in South Africa, Backdraft Racing models are among the most recognised modern interpretations of the Cobra. Faithful to the lines and spirit of the 427, they benefit from contemporary engineering offering a level of finish, reliability and usability superior to traditional replicas.
