Historique

Le 26 avril 1965, Henry Ford II annonce que Ford Amsterdam va assembler des Ford Mustang pour le marché européen et sera le point de départ pour la vente de la Mustang en dehors des États-Unis.

En septembre 1965 la « NV Nederlandsche Ford Automobiel Fabriek » à Amsterdam va être intégrée pour l’assemblage de Mustangs pour toute l’Europe. Le site industriel d’Amsterdam assemble déjà la ligne pour les Ford anglaises ainsi que pour le Benelux, avec les modèles Anglia et Zodiac et les modèles américains Fairlane et Mercury Comet.

Ces Mustang assemblées aux Pays Bas sont référencées sous le code « N ». La production durera 3 ans, de Septembre 1965 à Juin 1967.

Descriptif

Extrêmement rares, les Mustang code N sont des vrais collectors et ont une vraie valeur en collection. Le modèle que nous présentons est dans un état concours. Il a fait l’objet d’une restauration totale et cela se voit sur les photos.

Livrée en boîte mécanique avec un moteur 289 ci, qui a été entièrement restaurée en 2012 et préparée, développant plus de puissance qu’à l’origine, nous voilà en présence d’une véritable Mustang 1967 de toute beauté et nec plus ultra, préparée pour celui qui veut faire de la compétition : montage de freins à disque ventilés, barre anti roulis AV et AR, renfort des suspensions arrières avec barre de traction ( c’est génial ), jantes 15’’ American Racing, volant sport, barre anti rapprochement dans le compartiment moteur, radiateur en aluminium, boîte de vitesse manuelle 4 rapports, intérieur cuir, compte tours supplémentaire, ligne d’échappement inox ….

La voiture dispose d’une très belle peinture Wimbledon white, avec la particularité de la face supérieure avant peinte en noir qui, a pour objectif d’éviter la réverbération sur le capot et donc l’éblouissement du pilote. Les chromes sont en parfait état, les jantes sont magnifiques et bien chaussées.

La Mustang dispose d’un intérieur cuir en parfait état ainsi que le plafonnier et les moquettes. Le tableau de bord est très propre, tout est opérationnel avec un tachymètre supplémentaire qui fait office de compte tours. La voiture est en km/H et affiche près de 60 000 km au compteur. Le volant dans l’esprit Mustang avec un entourage bois épais à une excellente prise en mains, donnant une belle sensation de pilotage avec une direction franche et précise.

Mécaniquement, le moteur est un 289 ci (4L7), refait en 2012 avec des factures détaillées de tous les accessoires nécessitant sa réfection : changement arbre à came, pistons, vilebrequin, montage d’un carter haute contenance , distribution Comp Camps, démarreur renforcé power torque, allumage électronique , ventilateur secondaire, cache culbuteur Holley aluminium, pompe à essence Holley 6 PSI, pipe d’admission Weiand 4 corps avec carburateur Holley 600 CFM 4 corps. Les 225 CH sont bien présents avec la sensation qu’il y en a un peu plus…

Concernant le châssis, tout est neuf, la voiture est parfaite, tous les sillent blocs ont été changés, les longerons sont parfaits, les planchers également, c’est facilement vérifiable sur les photos que nous joignons à l’annonce.

Les amortisseurs sont neufs, le freinage refait intégralement, l’échappement est neuf, cette Mustang est dans un état exceptionnel.

A son volant, c’est un régal, un rail même, la voiture est faite pour rouler, elle est nerveuse et la boîte méca vous donne le rythme. On se prend au jeu et on a vraiment envie de pousser plus fort à bonne température pour connaître les limites. Le tout dans un confort parfait avec une très bonne tenue de route et des freins efficaces.

On April 26, 1965, Henry Ford II announced that Ford Amsterdam would assemble Ford Mustangs for the European market and would be the starting point for Mustang sales outside the United States.

In September 1965 the “NV Nederlandsche Ford Automobiel Fabriek” in Amsterdam will be integrated for the assembly of Mustangs for all of Europe. Extremely rare, N-code Mustangs are true collectors items and have real collectible value. The model we present is in concours condition. It has undergone a total restoration and it shows in the photos.

Delivered in mechanical box with a 289 ci engine, which was completely restored in 2012 and prepared, developing more power than originally, here we are in the presence of a genuine 1967 Mustang of great beauty and nec plus ultra, prepared for those who want to compete: installation of ventilated disc brakes, front and rear anti-roll bar, reinforcement of the rear suspensions with traction bar (it’s great), 15” American Racing rims, sports steering wheel, anti-sway bar reconciliation in the engine compartment, aluminum radiator, 4-speed manual gearbox, leather interior, additional rev counter, stainless steel exhaust line….

The car has a very beautiful Wimbledon white paint, with the particularity of the upper front face painted in black which aims to avoid reverberation on the bonnet and therefore the dazzling of the driver. The chromes are in perfect condition, the rims are beautiful and well fitted.

The Mustang has a leather interior in perfect condition as well as the ceiling light and the carpets. The dashboard is very clean, everything is operational with an additional tachometer which acts as a rev counter. The car is in km/h and displays 56,862 km on the odometer. The steering wheel in the spirit of Mustang with a thick wooden entourage has an excellent grip, giving a nice feeling of piloting with a frank and precise direction.

Mechanically, the engine is a 289 ci (4L7), redone in 2012 with detailed invoices for all the accessories requiring its repair: change of camshaft, pistons, crankshaft, assembly of a high capacity crankcase, Comp Camps distribution, reinforced starter power torque, electronic ignition, secondary fan, Holley aluminum rocker cover, Holley 6 PSI fuel pump, Weiand 4-barrel intake manifold with Holley 600 CFM 4-barrel carburetor. Regarding the chassis, everything is new, the car is perfect, all the silent blocks have been changed, the side members are perfect, the floors too, it is easily verifiable on the photos that we attach to the announcement.

The shock absorbers are new, the brakes have been completely redone, the exhaust is new, this Mustang is in exceptional condition.

At the wheel, it’s a treat, even a rail, the car is made to drive, it is nervous and the mechanical box gives you the rhythm. We get caught up in the game and we really want to push harder at the right temperature to know the limits. All in perfect comfort with very good road holding and effective brakes.
