The history of the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT dates back to the 1960s with the creation of the GTA range. Launched in 1971, the Alfetta GT inherited the mechanical layout of the 1968 Giulia GT. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, this coupe was initially equipped with a 1600 cm3 engine developing 120 hp. Over the years, evolutions were made, culminating in the 1977 Alfetta GT Evoluzione model, featuring a 1750 cm3 engine producing 135 horsepower. Major innovations, especially in the suspension and drivetrain layout, marked this iconic model.
