Recorded as being driven on it’s European debut by Maserati Works driver, Frolian Gonzales at the 1952 Grand Premio Dell’Autodromo Di Monza on 8th of June 1952, as documented in Volume 5 of ‘A Record Of Grand Prix And Voiturette Racing’, by Paul Sheldon, Richard Page and Duncan Rabagliati.

Campaigned by the Brazilian Escuderia Bandeirantes team for their 1952 and 1953 Grand Prix seasons, including the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring to name a few.

One of only two remaining Maserati A6GCM’s still in their original Formula 2 format with many having been converted to 250F specification in the intervening years.

Purchased in the 1970’s by Argentinian, Carlos Oskar Tarvelli, before making its way back to Europe in the 1980’s with Count Vittoria Zanon and passing through a handful of well known collectors.

Meticulously restored in the 1990’s by Paul Lanzante on behalf of Jeremy Agace and subsequently Sean Danaher on behalf of its next owner, John May, before competing in the Ferrari and Maserati Historic Challenge between 2003 and 2007.

Having been in its current ownership for over 20 years, 2033 has a remarkable contemporary record, having competed in every Monaco Historique event since 2004, including the 2024 edition, whilst also participating at the Goodwood Revival from 2004 to 2012 and having been invited to a handful of other prestigious events such as Chantilly Arts & Elegance in 2014 and Salon Retromobile in 2016.

Accompanied by an extensive history file including its Maserati Classiche Certification di Autenticità, warmly regarded and extremely eligible for some of the most sought after events on the international calendar from Monaco to Goodwood and of course the ever popular HGPCA.
