Telling a lot about the history behind the American LaFrance vehicles is a waste of time for those who are interested in ALF. That's why this is about this specific model.
The ALF presented here was restored over a period of nine years in Vorarlberg/Austria and has had Austrian historic type approval since April 2024. The base vehicle was completely dismantled and every screw, sheet metal, hose and everything else was refurbished or renewed. In total, more than € 450,000.00 was invested.
For increased road safety, the ALF has modern lighting and brakes on the front and rear axles. For greater convenience, a connection for a battery monitoring device has been installed.
After being type-certified, the ALF was fine-tuned over several weeks and is now being run in so that it can bring great joy to its new owner.
